about OUr Founder
Born and raised in Detroit, Glynisha Jones is the founder of Elizabeth Angels, a nonprofit organization created to honor the life and legacy of her grandmother, Eunice Elizabeth Taylor.
Glynisha was truly her mother’s and grandmother’s baby girl. From an early age, she was surrounded by love, wisdom, and unwavering encouragement. Her grandmother taught her countless life skills that continue to shape who she is today, including sewing, braiding hair, math, driving, budgeting, paying bills, sharing meals, listening with compassion, and uplifting others. Most importantly, her grandmother believed in her even during the moments when she doubted herself.
Eunice “Elizabeth” Taylor had a servant’s heart. She was deeply compassionate, selfless, and devoted to helping others. Anyone who spent time with her walked away feeling encouraged, empowered, and capable of conquering the world.
After her grandmother’s passing in April 2015 at the age of 77, Glynisha felt a calling to carry that legacy forward. Inspired by the love, guidance, and support she received, she founded Elizabeth Angels to provide mentorship, education, mental wellness support, and community resources to young girls ages 10 and up and adult women throughout the Metro Detroit area and surrounding communities.
Today, Glynisha is a devoted wife, mother of four, and communications professional with a heart for service. Through Elizabeth Angels, she hopes to put a little more love back into the world by creating safe spaces where girls and women feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise, heal, and thrive.
